A Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) is an official travel document issued by a licensed veterinarian after an exam, typically used to document that an animal was examined and is cleared for movement under the applicable rules.
In many cases, people call this a veterinary health certificate (or simply a health certificate). In the U.S., “CVI” is one of the most common formal names you’ll see on the paperwork.

How to add a CVI in the PadsPass app
As a Digital Pet Passport user, you can save your CVI the same way you would save any travel document.
1. Open PadsPass
2. Go to Travel Documents and tap add travel document
3. Select your pet
4. Upload the document:
Choose a PDF from your device files, or
Upload photo(s) from your photo library.
5. Tap upload
6. On the additional information page, choose the document type:
Health Certificate, or
Other Travel Document
7. Add a document name (recommended) and any notes you want to keep with the document
8. Consent and upload document
